Alma Christine Stieg

Alma Christine Stieg, 93, a resident of Conchas Dam, NM passed away on Saturday, November 17, 2018, at Vecinos Sanos Assisted Living in Santa Rosa, NM where she currently resided. Mrs. Stieg was born on July 5, 1925, in Checotah, OK to the home of Theodore Ted and Lillie Jane Etchison Keller. She grew up in Checotah and attended high school in Clovis, NM. Alma was an insurance agent for American National Insurance Company and an extreme salt and pepper shaker collector. Alma is preceded in death by her husband of 76 years Fred Allen Stieg, who passed away on May 10, 2018, and her parents Theodore and Lillie Keller. Survivors include her children Fred, Bill, Polly, and Martha along with their spouses, numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren; along with many nephews and nieces.Visitation will take place on Tuesday, November 27, 2018, at Chavez Funeral Home in Santa Rosa, NM from 10 am – 11:30 am. Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, November 27, 2018, at 2 pm at the Elida Cemetery in Elida, NM.Pallbearers will be Allen Stieg, Bob Macan, Brad Stieg, Kelley Spinks, Jonathan Spinks, Dean Miller, and David Stieg.In lieu of flowers, the family asks that a donation is made to the charity of your choice in Mrs. Stieg's honor.Services have been entrusted to Chavez Funeral Home, 923 S.
