Mark Andrew Ortega, age 49 passed away unexpectedly on March 7, 2014 at the Guadalupe County Hospital in Santa Rosa. Mark was born on February 10, 1965 in Fort Sumner, NM to the home of George and Dolores (Dunn) Ortega. He was reared and attended schools in Santa Rosa. Mark married Maggie Aragon on August 28, 1999 at St. Rose of Lima Parish in Santa Rosa. Mark was a longtime mechanic, tow truck driver, and worked at a body shop, he was a "Jack of all Trades". He enjoyed fishing camping and building toy models and riding his motorcycle and was a boxer. While in High School Mark played the trombone in the Band and later he played with his father’s band ‘Los Ortega’s Y Los Bronco’s. He is preceded in death by his father George Ortega Sr., his Maternal Grandmother Fabiola Sena, Paternal Grandparents Aurelio and Antonia Ortega, his Uncle Edward Sena and his Aunt Lucy Roybal. Survivors include his wife Maggie Ortega of Santa Rosa, his daughters Brenda Ortega and husband Alex Romero, Juanita Ortega and husband Nick Lucero, his mother Dolores Ortega all of Santa Rosa, grandchildren, Paris Ortega, Reyna Romero, Dominique Lucero and Lucas Lucero, his sister Glenda Evans and husband Richard of Albuquerque, his brothers George Ortega and wife Bella and Gerald Ortega all of Santa Rosa. Also surviving is his grandfather R.T. Sena of Fort Sumner, numerous nieces, nephews and a host of relatives and friends. Rosary services will be held on Wednesday, March 12, 2014 at 7:00 PM from St. Rose of Lima Church. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, March 13, at 10:00 AM also from St. Rose of Lima Church with Father Thomas Kayammakal Officiating. Burial will follow in the family plot at St. Joseph Cemetery. Serving as Pallbearers will be Lee Ray Harrison, Eddie Salas, Jordon Aragon, Jason Romero, Alan Dunn, James Lucero, Phillip Campos, Chuy Granado, Nico Lucero, Dominique Lucero and Lucas Lucero.
