Jerry Tenorio

Jerry Tenorio, age 60, passed away peacefully with his family by his side on August 2, 2014. Jerry was born on June 1, 1954 in Anton Chico to the home of Jose C. and Rita (Segura) Tenorio. He was reared in Anton Chico and attended schools in Santa Rosa. Jerry Married Rose Olguin on January 20, 1973. He attended Luna Community College in Las Vegas and received his certificate in Auto Mechanic. He worked as maintenance man for the Anton Chico Schools, was a jailer for the Guadalupe County Sheriff’s Department, a Truck Driver for Farmway Feeds and a Transport Tech for the Guadalupe County Correctional Facility and a self employed landscaper. Jerry was a member of the San Jose Catholic Church in Anton Chico. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping and writing poetry. He is preceded in death by his parents, and his brothers Evaristo and Eustaqio Tenorio. Survivors include his wife Rose Tenorio of the family home in Santa Rosa. His daughters Jessica Tenorio and boyfriend Bobby “Hogan" Lopez of Santa Rosa, Carmen Padilla and husband Pete of Santa Rosa, his grandsons Isaac Herrera and Lucas Padilla. Also surviving are his sisters and brothers Dulcinea Baca and husband Fernando of Tecolotito, Amada Arviso and husband Bill of Albuquerque, Valentin Tenorio and wife Connie of Tecolotito, Joe Tenorio and wife Natalie of Santa Rosa, Jeffery Tenorio and wife Martha of Tecolotito, his God children Veronica Olguin, Nikita Tenorio, Everette Tenorio and Avin Marquez along with numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Cremation has taken place and Rosary services will be conducted Saturday, August 9, 2014 at 10 am from San Jose Catholic Church in Anton Chico, NM. Memorial Mass will be celebrated immediately after the rosary with Fr. Antonio Mondragon officiating. Burial of cremains will follow at the Tecolotito Cemetery. Serving as Honorary Pallbearers will be Evaristo Tenorio, Jr, Pete Padilla, Raul Tenorio, Randy Tenorio, Everette Tenorio, JR Tenorio, Jeffery Tenorio, Jr., Billy Arviso, Michael Tenorio, Bobby “Hogan” Lopez and Harold Baca.
