Teodoro Trenidad Sena

Teodoro “Ted” Trenidad Sena, age 69, passed away at home on October 19, 2014 in Dallas, TX after a seven year battle with cancer. Ted was born on January 08, 1945 in Borica, New Mexico. He graduated from Santa Rosa High School in 1962. Ted moved to Dallas, TX in 1967, where he met his loving wife, Rosa “Rosie” Martinez. They were married on June 13, 1970. Ted began working for Good Year Tire and Service in 1967 and retired in 1997 after 30 years. Ted enjoyed working on automobiles, which led to his love of classic cars and auto racing. He was also an avid fan of the Dallas Cowboys. Ted is lovingly remembered by his children, Ted Edward Sena and his wife Cynthia of Dallas, TX, David Anthony Sena of New York, NY; grandchildren Edward Lawrence Sena, Benjamin Andrew Sena, Jon Paul Hopkins and Teresa Mackinzie Hopkins. Brothers, Faustin Sena and his wife Shirley of Moriarty, NM, Ralph Sena of Borica, NM. Sisters, Sally Chavez of Santa Rosa, NM, Dora Sena of Borica, NM, Isabel Tafoya and husband Candido of Portales, NM, Helen Wilkinson and her husband Fred Wallace of Dallas, TX, Viola Salazar and her husband Edward of Santa Rosa, Linda Lopez and her husband Guadalupe of Clovis, NM. Also surviving are numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and many lifelong friends. Ted is preceded in death by his parents, Trenidad Sena and Leonorcita Casaus Sena, his brother Tommy E. Sena, and sister Veronica Sena. The rosary service will be held Friday, October 24, 2014 at 10:00am at Nuestra Senora de Refugio Church in Puerto De Luna, NM followed by the Mass of Christian burial with Father Sotero A. Sena officiating. Interment will follow at San Isidro Cemetery in Borica, New Mexico. All local services for Ted have been entrusted to the Chavez Funeral Home of Santa Rosa.
