Zelna Earnest Walker

Zela Earnest Walker, 98 of Los Ranchos Village, NM passed away on Friday, November 21, 2014. She was born May 31, 1916 in Paluxy, Texas to the home of Isaac and Lorena (Hawkins) Earnest. She graduated from Floyd High School. Following graduation she worked as a secretary for the Roosevelt County School Superintendent and later as a secretary for the USDA. She was a homemaker for many years. She married William Tuskahoma Walker on December 31, 1936. He preceded her in death on July 24, 1996. Zelna is survived by a daughter Treca Walker of Tizingal, Chiriqui, Panama and several nieces and nephews. The family will gather at the Chavez Funeral Home at 1pm Sunday, November 22, 2014, burial will follow in the Garden of Love, Fort Sumner Cemetery.
