Daisy E. DeFoor

Daisy Estella "Granny" Defoor age 99 went to be with Jesus on March 11th, 2015 at Hospice of the Valley in Glendale, AZ. Daisy was born November 28th, 1915 in Madill, Oklahoma to the home of William Thomas Dodd and the former Cora Evelyn Lary. She grew up in west Texas and eastern New Mexico. She was a lifelong homemaker and mother. Daisy married Elmer Defoor on June 30, 1935 in Clovis, NM. They served as foster parents for many years at Baptist Children’s Home and as relief parents.Daisy is survived by one brother Thomas Henry Dodd and two sisters Pearl White and Doreen Woods, a daughter Nita Booth of Phoenix, AZ and a son Kenneth Defoor of Overgaard, AZ, also surviving are her grandchildren, great children and great-great grandchildren.She is preceded in death by death her husband Elmer O. Defoor a son Cecil Defoor, her parents, three sisters and two brothers.Services will be held 10am Tuesday, March 17, 2015 at Chapel of the Chimes Mortuary in Glendale, AZ Officiated by Rev. Mark Machemer Jr. A graveside service will be held at 10am Thursday, March 19, 2015 at Fort Sumner Cemetery, Fort Sumner, NM with Rev.
