Luciano Manuel Aragon, age 11, passed away on April 6, 2015 as a result of an automobile accident. Luciano was born on April 13, 2003 in Las Vegas, NM to the home of Jose "Sonny" Aragon and Naomi Gonzales. He was a student at Santa Rosa Mid School. Luciano loved spending his summers in Anton Chico and Puerto De Luna, he loved horses, reading and watching movies about horses, playing video games, any outdoor activity, camping, 4 wheeling, fishing and being in the band where he played the saxophone, trumpet and flute. He also served as manager for the basketball team. He is preceded in death by his step-brother Joaquin Gutierrez, his paternal Grandmother Erlinda Marquez Chavez, and his uncle Jordan Aragon. Luciano is survived by his mother and step-father Naomi and Fermin Gutierrez, his father Jose (Sonny) Aragon, his sisters Andria Nieto and Amanda Aragon, his brothers, Alcario Nieto and Brandon Aragon, step sisters, Mariah Gutierrez, Leticia Gutierrez and Selena Gutierrez. He is also survived by his maternal grandparents Juan and Estefanita Gonzales, paternal grandfather Jose Celso Aragon along with numerous uncles, aunts, cousins, classmates and a host of relatives and friends. Public visitation hours will be Thursday from 1pm to 6pm at the funeral home. Rosary services will be held on Friday, April 10, 2015 at 10:00 AM from the Santa Rosa High School Gym. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated immediately after the rosary with Father Sotero A. Sena officiating assisted by Deacon Marvin Marquez. Burial will follow at the San Jose Cemetery in Anton Chico. Serving as Pallbearers will be Brandon Aragon, Michael Mata, Ernest Lingnau, Abelino Hern, Alcario Nieto, Jordan Aragon, Tony Hern, Bryan Aragon and Marcus Chavez. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be the Santa Rosa Volunteer Fire Department. All services for Luciano have been entrusted to the Chavez Funeral Home, 923 S. Third Street, Santa Rosa, NM.
