Rosary Services for Mary Jane Sena, age 58, of Portales, NM will be prayed at 7:00, Wednesday, August 5, 2015 at Saint Helen's Catholic Church at 1600 South Avenue Q in Portales, New Mexico. The Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated at 10:00 AM, Thursday, August 6, 2015 at St. Anthony's Catholic Church at 443 W Richards Ave in Fort Sumner, NM with Fr. Sotero Sena officiating. Burial will follow in the Fort Sumner Cemetery. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Andrew Armijo, Tony Lucero Jr., Matthew Sena, Isidro Sena, and Santana Casaus. Mary Jane Sena was born Nov. 4, 1956 in Fort Sumner to the home of Josefina and Flavio Nieto and died peacefully at her home in Portales on Aug. 2, 2015. Mrs. Sena graduated from Fort Sumner High School in 1974. On Feb. 14, 1980 she was married to Carlos Sena. The couple had three children, two daughters and a son before they divorced. In 1981, they moved to Portales, and for 21 years she was employed at a local Allsup's Convenience store. For most of that time she was the store manager. For more than 22 years, her significant companion was Ben Aguilar. Mrs. Sena was a member of the Catholic church. She enjoyed going to the casino to gamble, and going to garage sales, but her greatest joy was found in her grandchildren. She is survived by two daughters and a son-in-law, Brenda and Greg Wilson of Abilene, TX and Angelique Sena of Fort Sumner, NM; a son and daughter-in-law, Carlos and Crystal Sena of Portales; her companion, Ben Aguilar of Portales; two grandchildren, Isidro Sena and Santana Casaus; two brothers, Orlando Nieto of Placitas, NM and Ernesto Nieto of El Rancho, NM; and four sisters, Frances Nieto of Fort Sumner, Gloria Gebman of Oklahoma City, OK, Eugenia Casaus of Albuquerque and Helen Sena of Espanola, NM. She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Victor Nieto and Anthony Nieto, who died as an infant, three sisters, Martha Casaus, Eva Salazar and Estalita Nieto who died as an infant, and a grandchild, Jozia Gomez.
