Clarita S. Marquez

Clarita Sandoval Marquez, age 89, of Anton Chico passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 13, 2015 in Albuquerque surrounded by her family. Clarita was born on July 14, 1926 in Anton Chico, NM to the home of Juan and Erminda Sandoval. She was he eldest of 10 children. Clarita married Frank Marquez in 1943. During their marriage they had 5 children. Clarita loved the outdoors, working in her garden, sewing and baking for the holidays. She was a beautiful wife, mother, grandmother and will be greatly missed. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Frank, an infant son Paul Marquez and her daughter Erlinda Marquez, her grandsons, Jordan Aragon and Luciano Aragon. Survivors include her daughter Gloria M Chavez and husband Orlando of Belen, her sons, David Marquez and girlfriend Sylvia Medina of Clovis, Kenneth Marquez and wife Liza of Albuquerque, her sister Bertha Montoya of Albuquerque, her brother Richard Sandoval of Las Vegas, NM. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren, 34 great grandchildren and 25 great- great grandchildren along with numerous nieces, nephews and a host of relatives and friends. Visitation hours will be Thursday and Friday from 1-5pm at the funeral home. Rosary services will be held on Friday, September 18, at 6:00 PM from St. Rose of Lima Church. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, September 19, at 9:00 AM also from St. Rose of Lima Church with Father Sotero A. Sena officiating. Burial will be held on Monday, September 21, at 1:30 PM at the Santa Fe National Cemetery. Serving as Pallbearers will be Clarita’s Grandsons.
