Fermin Gutierrez

Mass of Christian Burial for Fermin Gutierrez will be held on Thursday, March 10, at 10:00 a.m. from St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church with Father Sotero A. Sena officiating. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery. Serving as Pallbearers will be Michael Cordova, Fritz Lucero, Fred Saiz, Frank Sena, Jonathan Gonzalez, Brandon Lucero and Sam Bell. Reynaldo Fermin Gutierrez, 72, known to his friends as "Cheetah" passed away on March 6, 2016 at his home in Santa Rosa following an illness. Fermin was born October 18, 1943 in Puerto De Luna, NM to the home of Florencio and Lucinda (Salazar) Gutierrez. He attended Schools in Santa Rosa. He married Maryann Trujillo in 1967 in Santa Rosa. Fermin worked for the City of Santa Rosa and at various motels. He was very kind hearted and would help anyone in need. He enjoyed watching the news and wrestling on TV and spending time with his family. Fermin is preceded in death by his parents, his grandkids Joaquin Gutierrez and Luciano Aragon, his sister Arcenia Maestas, brothers Marcelino Gutierrez, Matias Gutierrez and Sylvano Gutierrez. Survivors include his wife Maryann of the family home in Santa Rosa, his sons, Fernie Gutierrez and wife Viola of Carlsbad, Fermin Gutierrez and wife Naomi Gonzales of Anton Chico, his grandchildren Mariah, Latisha and Selena Gutierrez and Andrea and Alcario Nieto. Also surviving are his brothers and sisters, Florencio Gutierrez and wife Oma of Albuquerque, Adelina Padilla and husband Jo of Amarillo, TX, Angelina Montano of Amarillo, Frances Hernandez and husband Isidro of Amarillo, Dulcinea Dunghan of California and Bertha Baca and husband Benji of Vaughn along with numerous nieces, nephews and a host of relatives and friends.
