Jean Linn

Roberta Jean Linn, 85 of the Fort Sumner valley passed away Monday evening, December 26, 2016 at her home. She was born January 29, 1931 in Lordsburg, NM to the home of Robert and Louise (Robertson) Guess. She grew up in Duncan and Kingman, Arizona where her father worked as a rancher and cowboy. She graduated from High School in Kingman. Roberta Jean married Max (Bud) Linn on January 30, 1947. They joined the Mormon Church following their marriage. Jean served as a 4-H Leader for four years. While in Kingman they owned an operated a travel trailer park. Jean was a jockey, she loved running and training horses. In 2003 they purchased a ranch northwest of Yeso. They sold the ranch and moved to the Fort Sumner valley in 2006. Jean is preceded in death by her parents and four siblings, Sadie Pearl, Mary, Bobbie, and Patsy. Survivors include her husband Bud Linn of Fort Sumner, two children a son Pat Linn of Atlanta, GA and daughter Stormie Linn of Buckeye, AZ along with 7 great-grand children, numerous nieces, nephews, good neighbors and friends. No local services are planned. Interment will be held Saturday, December 31, 2016 at Mountain View Cemetery, Kingman, Arizona. All arrangements are under the direction of Chavez Funeral Home, 830 N.
