Billie Maxine Mayhon

A graveside service for Billie Maxine Mayhon will be held at 2pm Friday, March 24, 2017 at Fort Sumner Cemetery with Rev. John Russo officiating. Billie Maxine Mayhon, age 83 of Clovis, New Mexico passed away Saturday, March 18, 2017 at St. Anthony Healthcare in Clovis following an illness. She was born January 17, 1934 in Slaton, Texas. Billie was reared in Fort Sumner where she attended and graduated from Fort Sumner High School. She married Fred Mayhon, they made their home in Clovis, NM for many years. Billie Maxine worked as a dog groomer for many years. She loved dogs and cats, and enjoyed gardening. Billie is preceded in death by her husband Fred Mayhon on April 21, 1999, her father and mother James and Mamie Cunningham, a sister Inez Brockman-Graham, and a nephew Joe Brockman. Survivors include a niece Linda L. Hopkins of Cheney, WA, three nephews James L. Brockman (Barbara) of Vacaville, CA, R. Michael Brockman of Pacifica, CA, Edward C. Brockman of Acampo, CA, and Joe's wife, Catherine Brockman, of Livermore, CA. All arrangements are under the direction of Chavez Funeral Home, 830 N. Fifth Street, Fort Sumner, New Mexico.
