Lillian Archibeque

March 20, 1958 — September 28, 2017

Miss Lillian Archibeque, 59 passed away Thursday, September 28, 2017 at Mission Arch Center in Roswell following a long illness. She was born March 20, 1958 in Vaughn to the home of Jose Moises and Sofia (Garcia) Archibeque. Lillian attended schools in Vaughn and Santa Rosa. She was a member of St. Mary's Parish in Vaughn and while living in Clovis a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish. Lillian enjoyed fixing puzzles, she spent many hours at this pastime. Growing up she loved to help her mom cook, and clean. When her mom's eyesight weakened, Lillian would thread several needles at once to help mom with quilting and sewing projects. Most of all, Lillian loved to sing, she knew the lyrics to every song that came on the radio. Her siblings say she enjoyed riding in the car and singing with the radio. While living in Clovis, Lillian worked with ENMRSH cleaning churches and buildings at Cannon Air Force Base. She enjoyed the many activities ENMRSH provided. Lillian is preceded in death by her parents, two brothers Joseph Archibeque, Luis Archibeque, a sister Margaret Archibeque, three nephews Gary Dean Archibeque, Larry Lopez, Danny Archibeque and a great nephew Mateo Martinez. She is survived by ten siblings, Rita Lopez (Joe) of Los Lunas, Richard Archibeque (Tina) of Belen, Norbert Archibeque Sr. (Barbara) of Vaughn, Joe Archibeque (Maida) of Roswell, Charlie Archibeque (Helen) of Dumas, TX, Stella Sanchez (Abenicio) of Moriarty, Cecil Archibeque (Patty) of Albuquerque, Jerry Archibeque (Pat) of Clovis, Rudy Archibeque (Phil) of Edgewood, and Randy Archibeque (Dawn) of Roswell, along with 36 nieces and nephews, a host of other family and friends. A rosary followed by the Mass of Christian burial will be held at 3:00 pm Saturday, September 30, 2017 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Vaughn, NM with Father Sotero A. Sena officiating. Burial will be at Evergreen Cemetery in Vaughn. Arrangements are under the direction of Chavez Funeral Home, 830 N. Fifth Street, Fort Sumner, NM. (575) 355-2311.
