Cecil Wayne McCann

Cecil Wayne McCann, 82 of Pastura, NM passed away Thursday, January 18, 2018 at his home. He was born September 20, 1935 in Rockwall County, Texas to the home of Roy and Eva Mae (Rush) McCann. His family moved from Texas to Roswell, NM in 1944. Cecil worked for over 45 years as a long haul truck driver, he was proud that he was never involved in a single accident in his driving career. Cecil is preceded in death by his parents, a son James Michel McCann, two brothers Billy Frank McCann and A. J. McCann, and a sister Mabel LaVonda Clifton. Survivors include his companion of 28 years, Dorothy Johnson of Pastura, a sister LaNora Kate Brown and husband Bill of Roswell, NM; two sons Billy J. McCann and wife Dori of Kemp, Texas and Roy Lee McCann of Rio Rancho, NM, one daughter Phyliss McCann of Houston, TX, and a sister in law Geraldine McCann of Roswell, NM. Also surviving are four grand daughters and five great-grandsons, five nieces and two nephews along with many freinds. Cremation has taken place, a memorial gathering for family and friends will be held at 10am Saturday, January 27, 2018 at Cecil's place, 3099 State Highway 219, Pastura, New Mexico.
