Noah Margarito Rael

Noah Margarito Rael, 69 of Clovis, NM, a retired Civil Servant died Saturday, April 27, 2002 at the VA Medical Center in Albuquerque following an illness. Mr. Rael was born May 8, 1932 in Milagro, NM to the home of Federico Rael and the former Elisea Lopez. He was reared and attended school at Milagro. He made his home at Vaughn, NM before entering the U.S. Army. He served two years and was honorably discharged on Sept. 10, 1954. Noah married Alice A. Montoya on February 4, 1955 at Hereford, TX. They made their home at Vaughn where Noah worked for and auto service station for several years. He also attended a Cabinet building school. In 1962 he made his home at Clovis, NM where he worked several years with K. Barnett Construction Company. He later worked at Cannon Air Force Base in the Wood Hobby Shop where he retired as supervisor on December 30, 1994. He retired from his job but not from life. He spent many hours working on his yard, and creating crafts from wood. Noah enjoyed fishing, woodworking, visiting casinos, playing pool, reading and dancing. He was also a jeweler. Noah was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Clovis, NM; a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles, and the Friendship Senior Center. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother Freddy Rael, and two sisters Senaida Chavez and Maria Rael. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and brother who will be deeply missed by his family. Survivors include his wife Alice Rael of the home in Clovis, NM; four daughters Mary Marquez of Albuquerque; Joanne Rael, Helen Raposa, and Margaret Rael all of Clovis, NM. Also surviving is one brother Pablo Rael of Vaughn, NM and two sisters Felicita Horn and Louisa Chavez both of Alamogordo, NM along with 7 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Rosary services will be held at 7:00 P.M. Tuesday, April 30, 2002 from the Chavez Funeral Home Chapel in Santa Rosa, NM. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 A.M. Wednesday, May 1, 2002 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Vaughn, NM with Father John Jazinski officiating. Burial with military honors will follow at Evergreen Cemetery in Vaughn, NM. Pallbearers will be Albert Martinez, Jimmy Marquez, George Baca, Alex Madrid, Ron Raposa, and Acosta Corral. Honorary bearers will be Jose Corral, David Sena, Manuel Marrufo, and all his many friends. Visitation will be Tuesday at the Chavez Funeral Home, 923 S. Third Street, Santa Rosa, NM. The casket will be closed at the mass. All arrangements are under the direction of Chavez Funeral Home in Santa Rosa, NM.
