Madge Lenora Kloubec

Madge Lenora Kloubec, 82 a missionary died Sunday, November 11, 2001 at Dan Trigg Memorial Hospital in Tucumcari, NM following an illness. She was born January 21, 1919 in Amber, Oklahoma to the home of William Bailey and the former Sarah Francis Chamness. Madge worked as a missionary on an Indian Reservation for 20 years. She married Walter Morris on June 12, 1941. She was a member of the Church of God. Madge was preceded in death by her husband Walter Morris on September 1, 1961 and a grandson Dayton Whelchel in 1990. Survivors include three sons Robert Whelchel and wife Mary of Portales, NM; Walter Morris of Farmington, NM; Jim Morris of Albuquerque, NM; two daughters Carrie Brown of Flagstaff, AZ and C. Leah Thurkill and husband Tom of Commerce City, Colorado. Also surviving is one sister Faye Gillette of Claypool, AZ; 14 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren, and 6 great-great-grandchildren. Graveside funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Wednesday, November 14, 2001 from Fort Sumner Cemetery in Fort Sumner, New Mexico with Rev. Don Hay of the Church of God officiating. Visitation will be held Wednesday beginning at 9AM at the funeral home. All arrangements are under the direction of Chavez Funeral Home in Fort Sumner, New Mexico.
