Alfredo Saiz

Alfredo “Fred” Saiz, 72 of Santa Rosa, NM passed away peacefully at the home of his brother, Manuel and wife; Velma Saiz, in Albuquerque, NM on Saturday, August 8, 2020. Fred was born on April 4, 1948 in Puerto De Luna, NM to the home of Luis Saiz and Lugarda (Luna) Saiz. Alfredo was raised in Puerto De Luna, where he also attended school and later attended school in Santa Rosa. Alfredo worked in the construction industry and was also an excellent mechanic. Fred is survived by his children; Alfred Saiz-Buchanan and husband Ryan, Sharon Saiz and Wilfred Saiz, Grandchildren; Marena Tarin, Sheila Saiz and Mark Saiz, brothers; Manuel Saiz and wife Velma, Ruben Saiz and wife Chavela, Luis Saiz and wife Rose, and sisters; Pablita Chavez and husband Joe and Gloria Gallegos and husband Leroy. Fred is preceded in death by his parents, the mother of his children; Helen Saiz, brothers; Fulgencio Saiz, Tony Saiz and Nick Saiz and sisters; Juanita Saiz, Charlene Saiz and Marlene Tenorio. Serving as Pallbearers are; Anthony Saiz, Daniel Saiz, Mario Saiz, Francisco Gallegos, Ramiro Fulgencio Saiz, Bobby Saiz and Eraldo Chavez. Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic Social Distancing guidelines, services were private and limited to the immediate family. Holy Rosary and Funeral Mass was held at 10:00 am, Wednesday, August 12, 2020 at Nuestra Senora De Refugio Catholic Church in Puerto De Luna, NM with Father Christopher Bernabe officiating.
