Andres Santiago Aguilar, 37 of Big Spring, TX and a native of Vaughn, NM passed away Sunday, September 5, 2021 at Odessa Regional Hospital in Odessa, TX. Andres was born September 28, 1983 in Santa Rosa, NM, he grew up and attended Vaughn Schools, graduating in 2002. Andres worked for the NM Department of Transportation, Vaughn District for 10 years. He served as a volunteer with Vaughn Fire and EMS for several years. He served as the football coach for the Vaughn Eagles. Andres enjoyed fishing and spending time with his family. His favorite outing was floating down the Frio Rio with his family and friends, watching football, cheering on his 49ers and Florida Gators. Andres married Tamara Beth Madrid on August 30, 2014 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Vaughn, NM. They made their home in Big Spring, TX in 2018. Andres currently worked as a heavy equipment operator for the Texas Department of Transportation. They attended Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Big Spring, TX. Andres is preceded in death by his mom, Edwina Aguilar in 2010, his maternal grandmother Julia Aguilar in 2006, and two uncles Manny Aguilar and Gilbert Aguilar. Survivors include his wife Tamara Madrid-Aguilar, one daughter Andrah Aguilar both of the home in Big Spring, TX. A sister Nadia Mondier (Daniel) of Big Spring, TX, a niece and nephew Amariah Mondier and Noah Mondier of Big Spring, TX along with many other relatives, co-workers and friends. Visitation will be Thursday, September 9, 2021 from 2-6pm at Chavez Funeral Home in Santa Rosa, NM. Visitation will be again from 1-2pm at Saint Mary’s Catholic Church in Vaughn, NM on Friday, September 10, 2021. The Recitation of the Most Holy Rosary will be on Friday, September 10, 2021 at 2pm at Saint Mary’s Catholic Church in Vaughn, NM followed by the Mass of Christian Burial, with Father Timothy Meurer officiating the service. Interment will follow at Evergreen Cemetery in Vaughn with Ramon Tapia, Miguel Gallegos, Christopher Matson, Mario Jimenez, Aaron Nelson, Matthew Nelson, Jason Pacheco, Daniel Mondier, Adam Aguilar and Herman Aguilar serving all Pallbearers.
