Anna Anicia Campos, 87 of Santa Rosa, NM passed away Thursday, October 29, 2020 at Lovelace Hospital in Albuquerque following an illness. Anicia was born August 29, 1933 in Puerto De Luna to the home of Jesus H. and Paublita (Romero) Moncallo. She attended school in Puerto De Luna and later in Santa Rosa where she graduated high school. Anicia worked for several years as a waitress at Club Café and Adobe Inn. She worked as a substitute teacher at Santa Rosa High School for 6 years. While at SRHS she was a co-sponsor for the cheerleaders, and worked the concession stand at Santa Rosa Lion sporting events. For two years she worked in Santa Fe for the Gasoline Tax Division. For many years Anicia worked as a Dispatcher, Communications Officer for the Santa Rosa Police, Fire, and EMS. She retired in 2016. Anicia was a member of St. Rose of Lima Parish, where she assisted with religion classes. She was a member of the Sacred Heart Society. Anicia is preceded in death by her mother, Paublita Moncallo on June 28, 2007, her father Jesus Moncallo on September 26, 2007, a son Larry Moncayo, infant daughter Kathleen Campos, infant son John Campos, and a brother Lee Moncayo. Survivors include a grandson Leon Moncayo and his wife Sonya of Santa Fe, NM, three brothers Abel Moncayo, of Sunnyvale, CA, Gilbert Moncayo and Wife Pat of Albuquerque, NM, Cesario Jesus Moncayo Jr. and wife Lucille of Tallahassee, FL, and Sisters Mabel Cordova of Santa Rosa, Elvie Lowery and Husband Mike of Novato CA. Also surviving is a great-grandson Malakai Moncayo of Santa Fe, NM, Daughter-in-law Patsy Moncayo of Santa Fe, NM, niece Mary Jane Chavez and Husband Ruben Chavez of Santa Rosa, NM, grand-niece Danielle Gold and Husband Philip Aragon of Santa Rosa, NM, Great-grand Niece Evangeline Aragon and Great-grand Nephew Jordan Aragon, along with a host of other relatives and many friends. Cremation has taken place. Following services, Anicia was laid to rest at St. Joseph Cemetery in Santa Rosa. We ask that you continue to keep Anicia and her family in your prayers.
