Ann Marie Cordova, born in Santa Rosa, New Mexico, on August 23, 1969, passed away unexpectedly in Albuquerque, New Mexico, on February 7, 2026. She was a vibrant soul who brought joy and happiness to everyone fortunate enough to know her.
Ann Marie's educational journey began in Santa Rosa schools, culminating in her graduation from Santa Rosa High School in 1987. She furthered her studies at New Mexico Eastern University, where she laid the groundwork for a successful career in the mortgage industry. Her professional life was marked by a dedication to her work, and she remained a valued member of the mortgage community throughout her career.
As a parishioner of St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, Ann Marie was deeply involved in her faith and community. She lived in Albuquerque for over 30 years, where she cultivated lasting relationships and created a home filled with love.
Outside of her professional commitments, Ann Marie cherished her hobbies and interests. She enjoyed swimming, dancing, and staying active through daily workouts with her special friend, John Sanchez. Her vibrant personality made her a joy to be around, and she had an innate ability to uplift those in her presence.
Ann Marie is survived by her parents, Manuel and Ramona Dodge; her stepmother, Anna Cordova; her brother, James (Anna Mae) Cordova, Jr.; her sister, Stacy (Mike) Wylie; as well as her special friend, John Sanchez. She is also survived by her loving grandparents, Manuel and Esperanza Facio, along with numerous nephews, nieces, uncles, aunts, cousins, and friends, all of whom will miss her profoundly.
She is preceded in death by her father, James "Bozo" Cordova; her sister, Savannah Lopez; her brother, Timothy Cordova; and her maternal grandparents, Juan and Elvira Silva, as well as her paternal grandparents, Andalecio and Bicentita Cordova.
Visitation for family and friends will be on Thursday, February 12, 2026, from 2-7 PM at Chavez Funeral Home in Santa Rosa.
Recitation of The Most Holy Rosary, followed by the Mass of Christian Burial, will be on Friday, February 13, 2026, beginning at 10 AM at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, with Father Sotero Sena celebrating the service.
Interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery in Santa Rosa. With Wayne Tapia, Dean Sierra, Phil Sierra, Jr., Bobby Baca, Herman Cordova, and Ernie Romero serving as pallbearers.
Her untimely passing leaves an indelible void in the hearts of her family and friends. Ann Marie will be remembered not only for her accomplishments and contributions but also for the light and laughter she brought into the lives of others.
