April O Olguin

April O. Lucero-Olguin, 39, a resident of Santa Rosa, NM passed away unexpectedly at home on Saturday, August 3, 2019. April was born on April 14, 1980, in Ft. Sumner, NM to the home of Abran Lucero and Florence Moncayo. She was raised in Santa Rosa and Gallup and attended school in both places, and was currently working at the TravelCenters of America in Santa Rosa.  A lifelong Catholic, April was a member of St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Santa Rosa. She enjoyed knitting, loved spending time with her daughters, family, and friends. April is preceded in death by her paternal grandparents Jose Inez and Otilia Lucero, maternal grandfather Eloy Moncayo, and uncles Epitacio Lucero, Jose Severo Lucero and Joseph Lucero. April is survived by her loving husband Dennis R. Olguin of the family home in Santa Rosa, NM; daughters Skylor Lujan, Avelina Maldonado and Hailey Chavez of the family home in Santa Rosa, NM; father Abran Lucero of Los Alamos, NM; mother and step-father Florence and Gregg Yoxtheimer of Dayton, Ohio; brothers Eli Lucero of Albuquerque, NM and Manuel Lucero of Los Alamos, NM; maternal grandparents Viola and Hector Puchi of Santa Rosa, NM; mother-in-law Zenaida Madrid of Tecolotito, NM; brothers and sister-in-law Brian, Denise and Benjamin Olguin of Tecolotito, NM; uncles and aunts Diego and Sylvia Lucero of Portales, NM, Robert and Angie Lucero of Albuquerque, NM, Mike and Lori Lucero of Santa Rosa, NM, Gloria Chavez of Santa Rosa, NM, James and Eileen Moncayo of Puerto De Luna, NM, Roberta and Carlos Bustemante of Las Vegas, NM, and Vanessa and Edgar Rivas of Santa Rosa, NM. Other survivors include countless nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Recitation of the Most Holy Rosary will be Wednesday, August 7, 2019 at 6:00 P.M. at Saint Rose of Lima Catholic Church.  Mass of Christian Burial will be Thursday, August 8, 2019 at 10:00 A.M. at Saint Rose of Lima, with Father Sotero Sena officiating.  Burial will follow at Nuestra Señora de Refugio Cemetery in Puerto De Luna, NM. Visitation will be Tuesday, August 6, 2019 from 1-6 P.M. and Wednesday, August 7, 2019 from 1-4 P.M. at Chavez Funeral Home in Santa Rosa. Pallbearers will be; Mike Lucero, Mike Lucero, II, Junior Moncayo, Nicholas Chavez, Benjamin Olguin and Cristobal Lucero. All services have been entrusted to Chavez Funeral Home, 923 S.
