Benerito Urioste

Benerito Cruz Urioste, Sr. , 63 of Tecolotito, NM passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his loving family on Wednesday, July 31, 2019. Benerito was born in Tecolotito to Maria E. Urioste and Benerito Lucero on May 2, 1956.  He attended school in Anton Chico and later was employed in the cotton gin industry, did flagstone work and landscaping and also worked for Duran’s A-1 Tire Shop. Benerito was a parishioner of Saint Joseph Catholic Church in Anton Chico and in his spare time enjoyed working on cars, cruising to the monte, taking his grandchildren, nephews and nieces swimming and watching wrestling. Benerito is survived by his wife of 35 years, Ruby of the family home, sons; Thomas Urioste (Josie Saiz) of Nampa, Idaho and Peter Urioste (Isabel Montoya) of Tecolotito, daughters; Victoria Urioste (Lorenzo Maestas) of Santa Rosa, Rebecca Urioste (Juan Valentin) of Albuquerque, Marcelina Urioste (Richard Saiz) of Santa Rosa, Fabiola Urioste (Chris) of Tecolotito, Faye Urioste of Santa Rosa and Dori Urioste (Adrian Romero) of Santa Rosa.  He is also survived by his mother; Maria E. Urioste and siblings; Roger Villanueva, Richard Villanueva, Christina Villanueva, Domingo Villanueva, Dorothy Villanueva, Angelica Villanueva, Roberto Lucero, Michael Lucero, Leonard Lucero, Dela Bachicha and Judy Bachicha, grandchildren; Cele, Jualian, Lorenzo, Noah, Victor, Delisha, Isaiah, Alejandra, Andres, Ismael, Giovanni, Luzma, Maya, Keila, Christopher, Arianny, Peter, Hector, Jacob, Josiah and Israel, as well as a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, family and friends. Benerito is preceded in death by his son; Benerito C. Urioste, Jr.,  father; Benerito Lucero, step-father; Prudencio Villanueva, grandmother; Eloisa Urioste, siblings; Quirino Villanueva and Irene Villanueva, aunt; Marcela Velasquez and brother-in-law; Larry Matta. Recitation of the Most Holy Rosary will be Sunday, August 4, 2019 at 6:00 P.M. at Saint Joseph Catholic Church in Anton Chico.  The Mass of Christian Burial will be Monday, August 5, 2019 at 10:00 A.M. at Saint Joseph’s, with interment to follow at Sangre De Cristo Cemetery in Upper Anton Chico.  Services will be officiated by Father Antonio Mondragon. Pallbearers will be Peter Urioste, Thomas Urioste, Domingo Villanueva, Roger Villanueva, Richard Villanueva, Victoria Urioste, Rebecca Urioste, Marcelina Urioste, Fabiola Urioste, Faye Urioste and Dori Urioste.
