Beverly Lynne Duncan, 74 a longtime Clovis resident passed away February 23, 2026 following an illness at Covenant Hospital in Lubbock, Texas. She was born in Soap Lake, Washington on October 17, 1951 to the home of James Lendon Duncan and Wanda Lee Harris . She grew up in Clovis, and attended Clovis and Texico Schools. She graduated a year early from Texico High School in 1969.
She worked many years in the automotive industry focusing on sales. She worked as Comptroller at Ford Motor Company and retired in 2019. She was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution, Eastern Star, and the Rainbow Girls.
She made her home, and lasting connections in Roswell, Clovis, and Lubbock, TX over the years. Beverly loved genealogy. She was considered a professional genealogist and would teach the skills she had gained at libraries and other related events.
Beverly is preceded in death by her mother Wanda Lee Harris-Wade, her father James Lendon Duncan, and one sister Brenda Caruthers.
She is survived by her two children James White (Erica) of Elgin, TX, and Patricia Hickman (Shane Gribble) of Evant, TX, 7 grandchildren Hunter White (Kate) of Austin, TX, Skylar White, Hayden White, Holden White all of Elgin, TX, Jacob White (Jessica) of Greenbriar, AR, James Hickman (Megan) of Bee Branch, AR, and Jessica Hickman of Gatesville, TX.
Visitation hours for family and friends will be Friday, Feb. 27, 2026 from 1pm to 6pm at the funeral home. A Graveside Service will be held at 2:00 pm Saturday, February 28, 2026 at the Fort Sumner Cemetery, Fort Sumner, New Mexico.
