Carlos Anthony Gonzales II, 35 of Lubbock, Texas died Saturday, February 11, 2023 in an auto accident in Lubbock.

Carlos was born in Hobbs, NM, and raised in San Antonio, TX. He worked in the oil fields in Midland/Odessa, TX, for Helmerich & Payne Inc, a well service company.

Carlos is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Demetrio and Corina Gonzales, and a cousin Charles Stinson.

He is survived by his mother Diana Madrid of San Antonio, TX, his father Carlos Gonzales and wife Lizbeth of Lakeland, FL, four sons Daniel Moreno, Isidro Moreno, Santiago Gonzales, and Carlos Anthony Gonzales III all of Fort Worth, TX, two sisters Angelica Estrada of Round Rock, TX, and Isabella Gonzales of Lakeland, FL, one brother Claudio Gonzales of Lakeland, FL, his maternal grandparents Arcenio and Mickie Madrid of Albuquerque, aunts Florence Madrid, Pauline Madrid, Jeannie Aragon (James), Maria Gauna, Theresa Bauman (George), uncles Cesario Anthony Lalo Madrid, Arcenio Madrid (Crystal), and Michael Gonzales (Daphne). He is also survived by nieces, nephews, numerous cousins he loved very much, along with many other relatives, and friends.

A family memorial was held at 10:00 am Saturday, February 25, 2023 in the Chavez Funeral Home Chapel with Father Sotero Sena officiating. Interment followed at St. Anthony Cemetery in Fort Sumner, NM.
