Caroline Felicia Lucero, passed away on Saturday, July 11, 2026 in Albuquerque, NM.
Born January 13, 2000 in Las Vegas, NM, Caroline was the beloved daughter of Severo and Christina Lucero. Caroline was raised in Santa Rosa, where she also attended school. She was a graduate of Santa Rosa High School, with the class of 2018. Caroline worked at several places in Santa Rosa, including Dairy Queen, the Super 8 Motel, Carl's Jr. and most recently Dollar General.
In her spare time, Caroline loved to fish and hunt with her dad and brother. She also enjoyed playing basketball, volleyball and softball and enjoyed the time she spent with her family and friends. She especially enjoyed the the time she spent with her fur baby, Baby.
Caroline is survived by her parents, her siblings; Severo Carlos Lucero and Shania Lucero, maternal grandmother; Becky Apodaca (Joe "Yogi" Garcia) and paternal grandmother; Candelaria Lucero, her extended family and loved ones—Frances Apodaca, Veronica (Gil) Apodaca, Gloria Apodaca, Lawrence Lucero, Fred Lucero, Christopher Lucero, Shirley Lucero, Darlene (Antonio) Sandoval, and Terry Lucero, as well as numerous great-uncles and aunts, cousins and friends.
Caroline's is preceded in death by her maternal grandfather; Gilbert Apodaca and paternal grandfather; Candido Lucero.
Viewing for family and friends will be Wednesday, July 15, 2026, from 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Chavez Funeral Home - Santa Rosa, located at 923 S 3rd St, Santa Rosa, New Mexico.
Recitation of The Most Holy Rosary and Mass of Christian Burial will follow on Thursday, July 16, 2026, beginning at 1:00 p.m. at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, 439 S 3rd St, Santa Rosa, New Mexico, with Father Jacob Romero celebrating the service.
Interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery with Joseph Salazar, Michael Mata, Bruce Muniz, Christopher Lucero, Michael Gutierrez and Mike Muniz serving as Pallbearers.
