Celso Anaya

Celso A. Anaya, 48 of Vaughn, NM, passed away unexpectedly at his home on May 29, 2019. Celso was born to the home of Pedro “Nolly” Anaya and Jane (Gallegos) Anaya in Albuquerque, NM on December 23, 1970.  He was reared in Vaughn where he also attended school and was a Vaughn High School graduate.  Celso was a loving father, grandfather, son, brother and uncle.  He will be greatly missed by his loving family. Celso is preceded in death by his father; Pedro Anaya on June 21, 1999, brother; Michael Anaya on February 12, 2015 and niece; Antoinette Anaya on June 11, 2015. Celso is survived by his son; Joshua and wife Kashila Anaya, grandson; Sebastian Anaya and granddaughter; Ulya Anaya, all of Salt Lake City, Utah, mother; Jane Anaya of Vaughn, NM, brother; Pete Anaya of Vaughn, NM, sisters; Tresey and husband Graciano Garduño of Edgewood, NM, Cynthia and husband Joe Madrid of Fort Stockton, TX, Marie Anaya and husband John of Clovis, NM and Jessica and husband Lupe Howe of Vaughn, NM.  He is also survived by numerous nephews, nieces, family and friends. Services are scheduled for Wednesday, June 5, 2019 at 11:00 A.M. at the First Baptist Church in Vaughn, NM followed by a graveside service at Evergreen Cemetery, with Pastor Roy Denton officiating. Visitation will be at the First Baptist Church prior to services, from 10:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. Serving as Pallbearers are; Josh Anaya, Robert "Bubba" Martinez, Jessie Arguello, Jessie Garcia, Evi Montoya, Pete Anaya, Joe Madrid, Jr. Garduño and all Celso's nephews and nieces.
