Christina Coronado

Christina Coronado, age 68, of Fort Sumner, NM passed at her home on December 26, 2021 following an extended illness. She was born December 21, 1953 in Fort Sumner to the home of Antonio and Rosa (Roybal) Coronado. Christina attended Fort Sumner Schools. She moved to Portales in 1980, and returned back to Fort Sumner in June of 2021. Christina is preceded in death by her parents, Antonio Coronado on April 17, 2005 and Rosa Coronado on September 29, 1984, two sisters Nora Aragon and Maxine Pena, four brothers Johnny Coronado, Tony Coronado, Gilbert Coronado, and Jerry Coronado. She is survived by one sister Gloria Sena (Richard) of Fort Sumner, and one brother Leeroy Coronado (Diane) of Albuquerque, NM. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Cremation will take place, with no services scheduled at this time. Arrangements are under the direction of Chavez Funeral Home, 830 N. Fifth Street, Fort Sumner, New Mexico. (575) 355-2311.
