Clarence Anthony Sandoval, 44 of Tecolotito, NM, passed away on Tuesday, February 14, 2023 in Las Vegas, NM.
Clarence was born on February 22, 1978, in Las Vegas, NM, to Frankie Sandoval and Vangie (Lucero) Sandoval. Clarence was raised in Tecolotito, NM and attended schools in Anton Chico and Santa Rosa—graduating from Santa Rosa High School in 1996. Clarence briefly worked at Pizza Hut in Las Vegas and participated in Track and Field events with Special Olympics. Clarence was a parishioner at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Anton Chico. Currently a resident of Las Vegas, Clarence enjoyed playing Crazy 8, checkers, fishing, and the outdoors. Clarence and his dog, Brownie, also enjoyed walks around Highlands University campus, with his aunty Lisa. Clarence also enjoyed the time he spent with his Uncle David, playing pool with his friend, Donnie and going to the casino with his Grandma: Rosa.
Clarence is preceded in death by his mother: Vangie, maternal grandfather: David Lucero, Sr. and paternal grandfather: Frank Sandoval, Sr.
Clarence is survived by his father: Frankie Sandoval (Toni Chavez), brothers: Christopher Sandoval (Olivia Lucero) and Eric Sandoval (Rhiannon Vieceli), nephews and nieces: Savannah, Breyanna, Casai and Jaspar, maternal grandmother: Rosa Lucero, paternal grandmother: Agneda Sandoval, his uncle and caretaker: David Lucero, Jr., Goddaughter: Gabby Gabriela Lucero, cousin: David Lucero, III, aunt and caretaker: Lisa Lucero as well as numerous uncles, aunts, cousins and friends.
Visitation for family and friends will be, Sunday, February 19, 2023 from 2-6PM at Chavez Funeral Home in Santa Rosa NM, and again on Monday, February 20, 2023 from 9-10AM at Saint Joseph Catholic Church in Anton Chico, NM.
Recitation of The Most Holy Rosary, followed by the Mass of Christian Burial, will be Monday, February 20, 2023 at 10AM at Saint Joseph Catholic Church in Anton Chico, with Father Timothy Meurer officiating.
Interment will follow at Our Lady of Guadalupe Cemetery in Tecolotito, NM, with David Lucero, Christopher Sandoval, Eric Sandoval, Leroy Sandoval, Nathan Maestas and Lorenzo Barreras serving as Pallbearers.
