Cynthia Darline Anaya

Cynthia Darline Anaya, 67, of Santa Rosa, NM passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Saturday, August 18, 2018 at Guadalupe County Hospital in Santa Rosa following an illness. Cynthia was born in Sallisaw, Oklahoma to the home of Levi Griffith and Mary Elizabeth (Polland) Griffith on April 25, 1951.  She attended school in Webber Falls, Oklahoma, and on December 13, 1975 she was married to William J. Anaya in California. Cynthia and William moved to Santa Rosa in 2000 from Los Angeles, CA. Cynthia was a homemaker who loved her family and enjoyed playing bingo and going to the casino. Cynthia is preceded in death by her parents, brother-in-law; Herbert Anaya and sister-in-law; Barbara J. Anaya. Cynthia is survived by her husband of 42 years; William Anaya of the family home, son; James Anaya of Santa Rosa, granddaughters; Destiny Apodaca of Santa Rosa and Ashley Anaya of Tennessee, grandson;  Silviano Apodaca of Santa Rosa, brothers and sisters sisters; Lonnie Griffith, Terry Griffith, Carolyn Wallace, Linda Craig, Frieda Griffith all of Oklahoma and brother-in-law; Gilbert (Judy) Anaya of Tucson, Arizona.  She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends. Recitation of the Most Holy Rosary will be said from Chavez Funeral Home Chapel in Santa Rosa at 6:00 P.M. on Sunday, August 19, 2018.  A graveside committal service is scheduled for Saturday, August 25, 2018 at Saint Helen’s Cemetery in Pastura, NM.
