Denise Urban

Denise Rebecca Urban, 33, passed away unexpectedly April 21, 2018 in Albuquerque, NM. Denise was born in Tucumcari, NM to the home of Andy & Diana Urban on July 17,1984.  She attended schools in Santa Rosa, graduating from Santa Rosa High School as a member of the Class of 2002.  Denise lived in Santa Rosa where she currently worked with the County Assessor's Office. Before moving back to Santa Rosa, she lived 3 years in Tucumcari, NM where she worked managing apartments and coaching the Tucumcari Lady Rattlers in Volleyball, Basketball, & Softball. Prior to moving to Tucumcari, she was employed by the City of Santa Rosa where she worked for 10 years. She was a loving mother, daughter, sister, aunt, niece, cousin and friend who was loved by many and will be greatly missed. She took great joy in spending time with her daughter Myla who was the light of her life. Denise is preceded in death by her maternal grandparents Santiago & Frances Romero, as well as her Uncle & Aunt Robert & Charlotte Chavez. She is survived by her parents Andy & Diana Urban, daughter Myla Chappell, siblings Andres (Breezy) Urban, Mandelyn (Anthony) Cordova of Santa Rosa, NM, & Joseph (Chantel) Urban of Portales, NM.  Denise is also survived by her paternal grandparents Billy & Vivian Urban of Santa Rosa, NM; nieces Rayauna, Kylee & Zoey; nephews Brandon, Josh, Andrew, & Anthony Jace; and father of her daughter Rod Chappell along with numerous uncles, aunts, cousins and many friends whose lives she has touched.  Recitation of the Most Holy Rosary will be held on Thursday, April 26, 2018 at 7:00 P.M. from Saint Rose of Lima Catholic Church, with Mass of Christian Burial following on Friday, April 27, 2018 at 10:00 A.M.,  Interment will follow at Saint Joseph Cemetery in Santa Rosa. Visitation will be Wednesday & Thursday, April 25-26, 2018 from 1:00 P.M. to 6:00 P.M., at Chavez Funeral Home in Santa Rosa. Serving as Pallbearers are; Nathan Flores, Robert “Rico” Chavez, Brandon Gutierrez, Mario Elevario, Albert Elevario Jr, Louie Romero Sr, Christopher Baca, Jimmy Urban, Daniel Garnand, & Jeff Cordova.  Honorary Pallbearers are her 2 God-children Kasydi Chavez & Joaquin Estupinan, Joaquin Lopez, Erik Lopez, Kevin Ortiz, and members of the Class of 2002.    All arrangements have been entrusted to Chavez Funeral Home, 923 S.
