Eddie A. Calbert

Eddie A. Calbert, 65, of Tucumcari, NM, passed away at home on Thursday, June 28, 2024, with his family at his side.

Eddie was born on December 17, 1958, in Tucumcari, NM to the home of Apolonio and Maria (Romero) Calbert. He was raised and attended school in Tucumcari, graduating from Tucumcari High School. After high school he attended college for computer information systems. A lifelong Catholic, he was a member of St. Anne’s Catholic Church in Tucumcari.

Eddie was a proud Veteran; he served his country in the United States Army and New Mexico National Guard. After his service he worked as a plumber’s helper. Eddie enjoyed playing pool and watching NFL and college basketball.

Eddie is preceded in death by his parents Apolonio and Maria Calbert, siblings: Reyes Calbert, Miguel Calbert, Lorenzo Calbert, niece: Roseann Mendez, and nephews: Daniel Lopez, Joseph Gallegos, and Paul Calbert.

Survivors include his children; Janice  Martinez (Isaac), Renee Baca (Robert), and Marc Calbert (Catalina), grandchildren; Ashley, Oscar, Israel, Italia, Illianna and Jayden, and siblings; Julia Calbert, Ricardo Calbert, Martin Calbert, and Gloria Lopez.

Recitation of the Most Holy Rosary will take place on Friday, July 5, 2024 at 7:30pm at St. Anne's Catholic Church in Tucumcari, NM. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Saturday, July 6, 2024 at 8am also from St. Anne's Catholic Church with Rev. Cameron Degani celebrating the mass. Burial with Military Honors will follow at Tucumcari Memorial Park, Tucumcari, NM.
