Elijia (Lee) Price, a resident of Puerto de Luna NM passed away Saturday, May 9, 2020 at home. Elijia is preceded in death by her parents Benjamin and Rosa Sanchez, two brothers Jabien and Reynaldo Sanchez, and 3 sisters Rebecca Castillo, Paublita Romero, and Chrisofora Tapia, and 1 son Ernest Blaze Maestas. She is survived by her spouse Gary Lee Price, and her children Raymond Julian Maestas of Albuquerque, NM, Patricia Pearl Maestas of Belen, NM, Ramona Priscilla and husband David Samaniego of Ridgecrest, CA, Joseph Herbert Maestas of Belen, NM, Michael Leroy Maestas and wife Teri of Moriarity, NM, and Reina Catherine and husband Elias of South Gate, CA, 9 grandchildren, and 14 great grand-children. Elijia (Lee) was born on June 8, 1933 in El Llano del Medio to the home of Benjamin and Rosa Sandoval Sanchez. She lived in El Llano del Medio until she moved to Las Animas, CO with her husband Reymundo Maestas. After 10 years she moved to Albuquerque, NM where she lived until moving to Puerto De Luna, NM in 2013. Elijia (Lee) was an avid equestrian, Bootsy was her palomino horse. She attended school in El Llano del Medio, Las Vegas and St. Anne’s in Tucumcari NM. Elijia (Lee) and her husband Gary Price owned and operated G &L Mobile Transit until retiring. Because of the current Covid-19 Pandemic, funeral services have been delayed. She will be put to rest in Anton Chico NM, and her spouse and children will be sending out notices.
