Emma Oliver

Emma Oliver, 96 of Vaughn, New Mexico, peacefully passed away in Carlsbad, New Mexico on Thursday April 16, 2026.

Emma was born on April 12, 1930 in Scholle, New Mexico to Alejandro and Isabel Aragon. She was raised in Vaughn, where she attended school. On June 16, 1956, Emma married Charles Theodore “Ted” Oliver in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

Emma was a devoted homemaker in Albuquerque, where she helped Ted raise five kids and made sure all people who came to her house were loved and fed. Emma was active in her long time church Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church before attending Holy Cross Catholic Church in Las Cruces for many years before finally spending the rest of her years at Saint Edward’s Catholic Church in Carlsbad. Emma will be remembered as steadfastly reliable and a loving family member.

Emma is preceded in death by her parents, her husband: Ted, her siblings: Elias and Manuel Aragon, Maida Archibeque, Angie Reynolds, and Marcella Gazolas, and her daughter Elizabeth “Liz” Ann Oliver.

Emma is survived by her children: Charles “Chuck” Oliver of Unionville, Virgina, Sandra Oliver of Albuquerque, New Mexico, Andy (Kristi) Oliver of Albuquerque, New Mexico, and Sylvia (Bob) Beeman of Carlsbad New Mexico her grandchildren: Amanda, Chantel, Jake, Dillion, Cheyenne, Heather, Robyn, Bradley, Justine, Shania and her great grandchildren: Damion, Charlotte, Journey, Logan, Aiden, Vinny, Isabel, Noah, Lilly and her great great- grandchildren: Brooklyn and Bella and her siblings: Joe Aragon, Orlie Matthews Confie (Bob) Sanders, Dolores Sanchez, Leo (Theresa) Aragon and Alex (Bella) Aragon, Jr.

Visitation will be Thursday, April 23, 2026 from 10-11am at Church of the Incarnation, Roman Catholic Church, in Rio Rancho, NM.

Recitation of The Most Holy Rosary will begin at 11am, followed by the Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30am on Thursday, April 23, 2026 at Church of the Incarnation, Roman Catholic Church, in Rio Rancho.

Emma will be laid to rest in the Santa Fe National Cemetery in Santa Fe, NM on Friday, April 24, 2026 at 9am, with her grandsons serving as Pallbearers.
