Felipe L. Sanchez, Jr., fondly known as “Red”, passed away peacefully on July 5, 2021. He was born on July 8,1935 to Felipe L. Sanchez, Sr. and Frances Giddings. He married Vera S. Sanchez by the Catholic Church in Belmont, California on March 29, 1958. Felipe owned and operated the Shamrock Service Station and was a U-Haul dealer until his retirement in 1996. He also ran a rental service and mobile home park. Felipe is preceded in death by his parents; Felipe L. Sanchez, Sr. and Frances Giddings Sanchez, sisters; Mary Fisher, Stella Sanchez and Frances Garcia, brother-in-law; Ernest Garcia, son-in-law; Michael Sanchez, granddaughter; Mariah Josephine Sanchez, and nephews; Dave Garcia, Jerry Garcia and Danny Garcia. Survivors include his wife of 63 years; Vera S. Sanchez of the family home, his children;; Phyllis Gonzales (Manuel) and their children; Bronson Sanchez and his son Sean, Claudia Hernandez (Israel) and their children; Isayah, Ilijah and Inessa, William B. Sanchez, his child; Billy, the mother of his children Consuelo (Tim), and his grandchildren; Ethan, Natalia and Marisol, Phil Sanchez, III (Veronica), children; Janice (Johann) and their daughter Kitana, Jacqueline (Juan) and their son Aiden; Felipe IV, Dalton; Grace Romero (Louie) and their children; Jessica--her children; Joaquin (Brianna), Erik, Jykub and Alysen and her grandchildren; Mysel and Laila; Louise Villanueva (Bobby) and their children; Kristin, Brooke and Alyssa; Roberta Romero and son Maddox; Louie Romero, Jr. and Kimberly Sanchez and her children; Kristi Sanchez Talbott (Dan), their sons; Osiron and Deegan; Laura Hall (Dustin) and their children; Persephone and Jackson and Dylan Sanchez. He is also survived by a very special nephew; Bruce Garcia (Penny) and family, and his cousin Canuto “Newt” Sanchez, who was also his best friend. Pallbearers will be Bronson Sanchez, Felipe Sanchez, IV, Louie Romero, Jr., Jessica Romero, Claudia Hernandez, Curt Sanchez, Tomas Sisneros and Kristin Villanueva. Honorary Pallbearers will be his remaining grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Visitation will be Thursday, July 8, 2021 from 1-6pm at Chavez Funeral Home in Santa Rosa. Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday, July 9, 2021 at 10am at Saint Rose of Lima Catholic Church with Father Sotero Sena officiating and burial will follow at La Capilla Cemetery in Santa Rosa.
