Felisa Sena Runion

Felisa (Sena) Runion, 91 of Melrose, NM passed away Saturday, September 5, 2020 in Amarillo, Texas. She was born July 11, 1929 in Chambers, Arizona to the home of Indalecio and Carmen (Gonzales) Santos. She grew up and attended school in Lupton, AZ. Felisa married Pedro Sena, they raised their family of 12 children in Borica, NM. In 1976 they moved to Melrose, NM. Pedro passed away in 1993. Felisa was a longtime member of St. Catherine Catholic Church in Melrose where she volunteered for many years. Felisa married Russell Runion on November 16, 1996 in Melrose. He preceded her in death in 2010. Felisa is preceded in death by her first and second husbands, her parents, a brother Tomas Santos and three infant brothers. She is survived by her 12 children; Larry Sena and wife Vera of Clovis, NM , Richard Sena of Melrose, NM Robert Sena of Melrose, NM, Theresa Carnahan and husband Edward of Abilene, TX, Gloria Sena of Roy, Utah, Alfred Sena and wife Loretta of Placitas, NM, Andy Sena and wife Virginia of Melrose, NM, Carmen Todd and husband Joe of La Mesa, NM, Anthony Sena and wife Jeannette of Melrose, NM, Dolores Hernandez and husband Victor of Abilene, TX, Donald Sena of Mt. Pleasant, TX and Martha Gallup and husband Russell of Grants Pass, OR; a brother, Felipe Santos of Montrose, CO; also surviving are 12 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, 29 great-great-grandchildren and 5 great-great-great-grandchildren. The Runion family regrets that the services are not open to the public due to the statewide restrictions pertaining to the COVID-19 Virus. In cooperation with the Governor’s order, services are limited to the immediate family only. However, the family does kindly ask that you keep them in your thoughts and prayers. Holy Rosary followed by the funeral Mass was held at 9:30 am, Thursday, September 10, 2020 at Sacred Heart Parish in Clovis, with Father Michael Niemczak officiating. Burial followed at Melrose Cemetery, Melrose, NM. Pallbearers will include Jack Smithson, Joshua Sena, Caleb Sena, Michael Sena, Phillip Sena, and Jeffrey Sena.
