Frank B. Baca, Jr.

Frank Baca, Jr., 86, passed away peacefully at his home on Saturday, November 24, 2018. Frank was born on March 30, 1932 in Santa Rosa, NM to the home of Francisco and Leandra (Ulibarri) Baca. Frank served in the U.S. Army as a sergeant from 1949 to 1952.  While still in the service, Frank married Clorie Nelson on January 5, 1951.  Upon his return from the military, Frank worked construction.  His expertise in concrete and bridge building made him an excellent resource and mentor for younger workers. A life-long Catholic, Frank attended Mass regularly and prayed the Rosary daily with Mother Angelica. Frank is preceded in death by his parents, his wife Clorie, sons; Joe Albert and Martin, and daughter Carolyn as well as his in-laws Albert and Isabel Nelson.  Frank is also preceded in death by his siblings; Margaret, Trinnie, Sister Mary Magdalene, Andres, Celestina, Raymond, Connie and Gilbert. Frank is survived by his children; Leo and wife Maria, Kika and husband Trinidad, Jimmy, David, Alex and wife Kathleen, Leroy and wife Deborah, Netta and husband Steve and Anna, as well as several Grandchildren and Great-grandchildren.  He is also survived by his sisters; Maggie Gallegos and Polly Maes, and brother; Boni Baca. Recitation of the Most Holy Rosary will be Friday, November 30, 2018 at 6:00 P.M. at Saint Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Santa Rosa.  The Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday, December 1, 2018 at 10:00 A.M., at Saint Rose of Lima, with Father Christopher Bernabe officiating.  Interment will follow in the family plot at Saint Joseph Cemetery in Santa Rosa. Serving as Pallbearers will be; Leo Moya, Jimmy Baca, David Baca, Alex Baca, Leroy Baca and Benny Sanchez. Visitation will be Thursday, November 29, 2018 from 1:00 P.M. to 6:00 P.M. and on Friday, November 30, 2018 from 1:00 P.M. to 4:30 P.M. at Chavez Funeral Home in Santa Rosa.
