Husband, father, grandfather, friend, and mentor; Frank “Pancho” Gallegos left this earth that had restrained his free spirit over the last three months as he started on his final journey to the most beautiful destination imaginable on January 26, 2021. He was born in Santa Rosa New Mexico September 17, 1949 to Mother Florencia Moncayo and Frank Gallegos. Frank is survived by his loving and caring wife Francis of Santa Rosa; Son Lawrence Gallegos (Adam) of Westerville, Ohio; Granddaughter Alyssa Velasquez of Santa Rosa; Sister Terry CdeBaca (Chris) of Albuquerque; Brothers Albert Gallegos (Rita) of Bernalillo; George Chavez (Dianna) of Albuquerque; Silver Chavez (Rosalie) of Santa Rosa; three nephews, who stood beside Frank in his time of need: Anthony Micelli, Dean Chavez, Bill Griego and niece Brenda Campos. Frank was preceded in death by the step-son he helped to raise - Julian Velasquez. Frank followed a life of counseling in the field of substance abuse to clients at the former Surehouse, and at the local correctional facility in Santa Rosa. He is a Santa Rosa High School graduate, where he excelled as a player for the Santa Rosa Lions basketball team in the 1969 state competition. Cremation will take place with services to follow at a later date. We kindly ask that you keep Frank and his family in your prayers.
