Freddie A. Martinez

Freddie A. Martinez, 60 of Tucumcari, NM, went home to be with the Lord on September 14, 2020. Freddie was born on December 24, 1959 in Tucumcari, NM. Freddie was raised in Tucumcari, graduating from Tucumcari High School in 1979. Following high school, Freddie joined the Army National Guard and later earned his Associates Degree from Mesalands Community College in Building Trades. Freddie is survived by his mother; Josephine Martinez and sisters; Lillian Mendez, Dorothy Martinez, Stella Maes and Annie Martinez Vargas and husband; Martin, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends. Freddie is preceded in death by his father; Joe Martinez, two infant brothers, brothers; Jimmy Martinez and Frankie Martinez and two sisters; Vickie Martinez and Rosela Martinez. A graveside service and burial with military honors was held at 2:00 pm Friday, September 18, 2020 at Tucumcari Memorial Park. Pallbearers were Jose Martinez Vargas, Marcos Martinez, Chuey Mendez, Joey Martinez, Johnny Joe Sanchez, J.J. Chavez, Joe Trujillo and Jose Rodriguez. Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic Social Distancing guidelines, services were limited to the immediate family. We ask that you keep Freddie and his family in your prayers.
