Gloria Jean Chavez

Gloria Jean Chavez, 66 of Santa Rosa, NM passed away peacefully at Guadalupe County Hospital on Friday, March 26, 2021. Gloria Jean was born on October 25, 1954 to Donato and Amalia (Olivas) Saiz in Santa Rosa. Gloria Jean was raised in Santa Rosa where she also graduated from Santa Rosa High School. Gloria Jean worked for the Santa Rosa News, First National Bank and for the County of Guadalupe Administration Office. She was a faithful parishioner at Saint Rose of Lima Catholic Church where she was a member of the church choir and Treasurer of the Saint Rose Fiestas. Gloria Jean was also a board member of the Moise Memorial Library. Gloria Jean loved to read, talk on the phone with friends, work on crossword puzzles and travel, however, she found her greatest joy in the time she spent with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Gloria Jean is preceded in death by her parents, brother; Ramon Saiz, grandson; Andrew Gene Jerome Sena and the father of her children; Gene Chavez. Gloria Jean is survived by her daughters; Christina Michelle Baca (Edward) of Santa Rosa, NM, Gina Marie Sena (Andrew) of Santa Rosa, NM and Alexandria Beck (Zack) of Minden, Nebraska, her grandchildren; Timothy Baca, Tiffany Sena, both of Santa Rosa, Khadijah Sena (Jerrik) of Las Cruces, NM, Santiago Ortega (Vanessa) and Czarina Ortega of Nebraska, Joshuah Sena (Lydia) of Phoenix, AZ, Ethan Chavez, Zachariah Beck and Zion Beck all of Nebraska, her great-grandchildren; Arelynn Sena and Liam Sena of Santa Rosa and Alaina Sena of Phoenix, AZ, as well as numerous family, relatives, and friends. Gloria Jean was also very fond of her fur baby; Baby and great-grand fur baby; Xenia B. Sena. Urn Bearers will be; Timothy Baca, Tiffany Sena, Khadijah Sena, Santiago Ortega, Czarina Ortega, Joshuah Sena, Ethan Chavez, Zachariah Beck and Zion Beck.
