James Dunn Jr.

James Allen Dunn Jr., 56 passed away at his sister's home in House, NM Saturday, September 9, 2023 following an illness. He was born September 09, 1967 in Fort Sumner, NM to the home of James Allen and Esther (Anaya) Dunn. James is a 1985 graduate of Fort Sumner High School. He attended New Mexico State University, majoring in Business Management. James worked for several finance companies in Phoneix, AZ and Denver, CO, and for three years with Wells Fargo in Albuquerque.

James enjoyed fishing, finger crochet, and visiting with his family. He has many friends from his time spent in Arizona and longtime childhood friend since high school, Christine Sena Garcia.

James is preceded in death by his mother, Esther Dunn on March 31, 2021, his maternal grandfather Eddie Anaya, maternal grandmother Nora Casaus, Paternal grandfather James Allen Dunn Sr., and Paternal grandmother Fabiola and Roman T. Sena, a niece Mary Yvonne Dunn and a great-nephew Corbin Maxwell Aragon.

Survivors include his father, James Allen Dunn of Fort Sumner and House, NM, three sisters Deborah Maupin (Will) of House, NM, Corrine Ulibarri of Rio Rancho, Sarah Aragon of Fort Sumner, two brothers B.J. Dunn (Elia) of Fort Sumner, and Randy Dunn of Albuquerque along with numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and good friends.

A graveside service will be held at 10:00 am Wednesday, September 13, 2023 in the family plot, Fort Sumner Cemetery with Richard Terrell officiating. Pallbearers will be Will Maupin, Ryan Harris, Scott Gordon, Joseph Anaya, Matt Hughes, and Joel Baylus. Honorary bearers will be all his Arizona friends and longtime friend Christine Sena Garcia.
