James "Jimmy" Anaya

James “Jimmy” Anaya, 74 of Albuquerque, NM, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Saturday morning, August 9, 2025.

Jimmy was born April 3, 1951, to Frederico Anaya, Jr. and Florentina (Garcia) Anaya in Santa Rosa, NM. Jimmy was raised in Santa Rosa and Puerto De Luna. He made his home in Albuquerque, where he worked in the construction industry as a carpenter.

Jimmy was a parishioner at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary in Albuquerque. In his spare time, Jimmy worked as a ranch hand. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, educating himself, being creative, exploring various places, and music. However, Jimmy’s greatest joy came from the time he spent with his family.

Jimmy is preceded in death by his parents and a grandson, Justin Anaya.

He is survived by his wife: Lorraine and children: Vivian Anaya, Priscilla Anaya, Daniel Anaya and Karen Martinez as well as numerous family and friends.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, August 13, 2025, at 11 am at Chavez Funeral Home in Santa Rosa. Interment will follow at Evergreen Cemetery in Santa Rosa.
