Johnny Carmichael

Johnny Harry Carmichael, 73, of Clovis, NM passed away at home on October 16, 2022. Johnny was born on January 03, 1949 to the home of Johnny Harry Carmichael Sr and Rutha Mae (Key) Carmichael in Jefferson County, Alabama. Johnny earned a Masters Degree in Education, and was a teacher. Johnny enjoyed Jazz music and origami in his past time. He was also a Redskins fan. Johnny is survived by a daughter Erika Morrison of Clovis, NM; 5 grandsons: Riley Carmichael and Malcolm Morrison of Clovis, NM, Avery Carmichael and Michael Morrison both of San Diego, CA, and Ishmael Vitale of Los Angeles, CA; 2 granddaughters: Linnea and Lelah Morrison of Clovis, NM. Also surviving are 3 sisters: Lessie Carmichael-Dew, Yvonne Carmichael, and Rose Marie Carmichael O'Brian. Johnny's sense of humor and love for his family will be missed. Arrangements are under the direction of Chavez Funeral Home, 830 N. Fifth Street, Fort Sumner, New Mexico.
