Jose Luis Ceja-Segura

Jose Luis Ceja-Segura, 64 of Tecolotito, NM, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family, on Wednesday, June 14, 2023.

Jose was born on February 15, 1959, in Sahuayo, Michoacan De Campo, Mexico to Antonio Segura Grimaldo and Maria Ceja Fajardo.  Jose was self-employed and owned Laja Segura, a flagstone mining company.  Jose also worked in construction with JR Striping, he worked in the ranching industry, fruit industry in California and in the cotton fields in Littlefield, TX.

Jose is preceded in death by his daughter: Olivia Ceja, his father: Antonio Segura Grimaldo and his brothers: Cristobal and Ignacio Segura-Ceja.

Jose is survived by his wife Angelica Villanueva, his children: Cassandra (Lucas), Crystal (Tony), Christina, Olivia (Cody) and Joey (Heidi), his grandchildren: Anahi, Sergio, Manzo, Luke, Gabriel, Mia and Cristobal.  He is also survived by his mother: Maria Ceja Fajardo (Gary Price), his siblings: Aurora Segura-Ceja, Antonio Segura, Juan Segura, Amalia, Maria De Jesus, Bertha Alicia (Juan Carlos), Marcela, Maria Dolores (Marcelino), Leroy (Chavela Sandoval), Frankie Sandoval, Herminio Sandoval, Frances, Bernice, and his adopted mother: Agneda Sandoval, as well as his special nephews: Jose Antonio Manzo, Javier Manzo, Flavio Segura and Luis Gerardo.

Visitation will take place on Friday, June 16, 2023 from 5-7pm at San Jose Catholic Church in Anton Chico followed by the Recitation of the Most Holy Rosary at 7pm.

A Communion Service will take place on Saturday, June 17, 2023 at 9am at San Jose Catholic Church in Anton Chico with Deacon Marvin Marquez officiating. Burial will follow at Sangre De Cristo Cemetery in Upper Anton Chico with Jose A. Manzo, Lucas Martinez, Flavio Arceo Segura, Pablo Baca, Javier Manzo, Joey Ceja, and Alejandro Arceo Segura serving as pallbearers. Honorary Pallbearers will be Domingo Villanueva, Jose Luis Gonzales, Anthony Maestas, Frankie Sandoval, Arturo Carrillo, Jose Arroyo Segura, Luis Alberto Arroyo Segura, Adrian Garcia, Leroy Sandoval, and Gabriel Montalvo.
