Lily C. Vigil

Lily C. Vigil, 86 of Santa Rosa, NM passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family, on Thursday, January 21, 2021. Lily was born on October 6, 1934 in Sabinoso, New Mexico to Felipe B. Martinez and Victoria (Esquibel) Martinez. Lily married Augustine Vigil on November 6, 1953. Together they made their home in Mosquero, NM until Augustine passed away on September 2, 1991. Lily is preceded in death by her parents, husband; Augustine, son; Arturo Augustine Vigil on June 24, 1978, brothers; Conrado and wife Lala Martinez, Manuel and wife Sophie Martinez, Lorenzo Martinez and Samuel Martinez and by her only sister; Annie Baca and husband Secundino Baca. Lily is survived by her son; Felix Vigil of Logan, NM, daughters; Della Vigil Craft and husband Charles of Albuquerque, NM, Patsy Andrada of Winchester, California and Susan Bailey and husband Roy of Santa Rosa, NM, as well as her grandchildren; Darlene (Adam Gracia), Megan Vigil, Valerie (Mark Goeringer), Eric (Janie) Bailey, Shane Vigil, Kimberley Craft, Daniel (Ashley) Bailey, Kevin (Helen Craft) and Alix Vigil. Also surviving Lily are her great-grandchildren; Scarlett Dhimes, Evie Gracia, Leah Vigil, Roman Goeringer, Gabriel Rivera, Baylee Bowen, Milana Bailey, Kash Vigil and Aurelia Maestas. Holy Rosary followed by the funeral Mass was held at 11:00am Monday, January 25, 2021 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Mosquero, NM. Lily was laid to rest at Saint Joseph Cemetery in Mosquero, NM with Eric Bailey, Daniel Bailey, Kevin Craft, Shane Vigil, Darlene Andrada, Kimberley Craft, Megan Vigil and Alix Vigil serving as Pallbearers. Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic Social Distancing guidelines, services were limited to the immediate family. We kindly ask that you keep Lily and her family in your prayers.
