Linda Garza

Linda Garza, 64 of Fort Sumner, NM passed away Friday, August 15, 2025 at Plains Regional Medical Center in Clovis following an illness. Linda was born September 29, 1960 in Olton, Texas to the home of Francisco and Rose (Garcia) Garza. She is one of 14 children born to this home.

Linda grew up in Olton, TX and Fort Sumner, NM. She attended school in Olton. Linda worked in the building construction business for several years. She also worked in the lawn care business and most recently worked as a home health care provider.

She enjoyed gardening and her pets. She loved spending time with her grandkids, and all her siblings.

Linda is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Adrian Garza in 2024, five brothers Jessie, Steve, Frank, Manuel, and Lupito, and one sister Rose Garza.

She is survived by one daughter, Linda May Garza of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, four grandchildren Savannah Benavidez (Alfred), Adrianna Hernandez, Avery Hernandez, and Abigail Hernandez all of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, along with six great grandchildren. Her siblings, four brothers George Garza of Fort Sumner, Alex Garza of San Antonio, TX, Albert Garza (Felicita) of Fredericksburg, TX, Rudy Garza (Marta) of Fort Sumner, three sisters Mary Ann Cox of Colorado, Norma Jean Lopez of Fort Sumner, and Juliette Casares (Mike) of Olton, Texas along with a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

A memorial service will be hald at 2:00 pm Saturday, August 23, 2025 at The Church on The Hill in Fort Sumner, New Mexico with Pastor Richard Terrell officiating.
