Loretta A. Villanueva

Loretta A. Villanueva, 60 of Anton Chico, NM passed away on March 13, 2021 in Las Vegas, NM. Loretta was born on October 4, 1960 in Las Vegas, NM to Alfonso and Tina (Lucero) Aragon. Loretta was raised in Anton Chico, NM, where she attended school as well as in Santa Rosa, NM, and graduating from Santa Rosa High School. Loretta was also a graduate of Luna Community College in Las Vega, NM, where she attained her nursing degree. Loretta married Cipriano Villanueva on April 8, 1978 at San Jose Catholic Church in Anton Chico, NM. Loretta worked at Northeastern Regional Hospital, Alta Vista Regional Hospital, with Doctors; Michael Lopez and David Elliot, as well as at NMBHI Long Term Care in Las Vegas, NM before retiring in 2016. Loretta was a parishioner at San Jose Catholic Church in Anton Chico. She enjoyed gardening and traveling—especially the Caribbean, however her greatest joy came from the time she spent with her grandchildren. Loretta is preceded in death by her father; Alfonso Aragon, and grandparents; Pedro and Louisa Lucero. Loretta is survived by her husband; Cipriano Villanueva, her children; Angela (Paul) Barela, Eric Villanueva and Joseph (Naomi) Villanueva, her grandchildren; Adrianna Barela, Matthew Barela, Isabella Barela, Eric Villanueva, Ellyanna Villanueva, Emma Villanueva, Gabrielle and Rachelle Gurule and Jonelle and Amorelle Villanueva, her mother; Tina Aragon, sister; Christina Quintana and brother; Lee (Michell) Aragon as well as many nephews, nieces, family and friends. Loretta will be laid to rest at San Jose Cemetery in Anton Chico, NM with Matthew Barela, Mike Velasquez, Estevan Villanueva, Jimmy Gallegos, Adam Quintana, Ashley Aragon and Victoria Quintana serving as Pallbearers. Honorary Pallbearers will be; Eric Villanueva, Joseph Villanueva and Lee Aragon.
