Lori Lynn Moyer-Saiz, 53, of Fort Sumner, NM passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, November 19, 2025 in Littlefield, TX. She was born in Fort Sumner, NM to the home of Art and Janis Moyer on June 8, 1972. She grew up in Fort Sumner, and attended Fort Sumner Schools graduating with the class 1990. She attended Massage Therapy School at Clovis Community College.

She married Ruby Saiz on April 12, 2014 in Santa Rosa, New Mexico. They enjoyed doing life together, and raising their kids and grandkids together.

Lori worked various jobs throughout her life. She worked for TeamBuilders for 10 years, waitressed at the Denny's in Santa Rosa, was a Home Health Care aid, worked at Allsups, had her own Massage Therapy business, and for the last 7 years she worked at the Fort Sumner Public Library. Lori loved hosting the movie and craft Fridays for the kids of Fort Sumner at the library, and organizing the Summer Reading Program every year.

She was a member of the Fort Sumner Baptist Church, and the Fraternal Order of Eagles in Fort Sumner.

Lori loved doing ceramics, painting, doing nails, fishing, and going on bike rides with Ruby. Lori loved the time she spent with her family. Being a Nani to her grandkids, and taking care of her parents brought her the most joy.

Lori is preceded in death by her maternal and paternal grandparents, father Art Moyer, uncle Dana Moyer, and step-son Joshua Sanchez.

Those left behind to cherish Lori's memory are her wife Ruby Saiz of Fort Sumner, her mother Janis Moyer of Fort Sumner, her son Dax (Jazmine) Moyer of Las Vegas, NM, stepdaughters Breanna (Becca) Saiz of Albuquerque, and Gina Sanchez of Clovis, her beloved granchildren Aubree and Alia Moyer, Jayda Mae, Uzziah, Lorenzo, Joseph, Juanito, and E.J. Lori is also survived by her brother Brent (Nicole) Moyer of Fort Sumner, and one uncle Bryce (Iva) Moyer of Fort Sumner. She is also survived by her mother and father-in-law Ruben and Isabel Saiz of Puerto De Luna, brothers-in-law Mario (Erlinda) Saiz of Puerto De Luna, Jose Saiz of Seattle, WA, and sisters-in-law Charleen (Cecilio) Chavez and Francisca Saiz both of Santa Rosa, NM. Also surviving are numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and many friends.

Viewing will be held Thursday, December 4, 2025 from 1 pm to 6 pm at Chavez Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Friday, December 5, 2025 at 10:00 am at the First Baptist Church of Fort Sumner with Rev. Jim Peabody officiating. Interment will follow at the Fort Sumner Cemetery. Pallbearers will include Dax Moyer, Fabian Chavez, Anthony Micelli, Josh Hernandez, Raynaldo Arrelin, and Joseph Myers. Honorary Pallbearers include Hector Zambrano, Cameron Simmons, Charleen Chavez, and Ann Ruiz.
