Luciano A. Montoya, Jr.

Luciano A. Montoya, Jr., 39, passed away unexpectedly on November 17, 2020 in Albuquerque, NM. Luciano was born on December 18, 1980 in Albuquerque, NM to the home of Luciano A. Montoya, Sr. and Joann Padilla. Luciano was raised in Albuquerque, NM, where he spent most of his life. He then moved to Santa Rosa in 1998. He worked with his brother, Alan at Napa Auto Parts and as a mechanic. Luciano was also a volunteer Fire Fighter with the City of Las Vegas, NM. He was also raised a Jehovah’s Witnesses. Luciano enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and baseball. He also enjoyed working on vehicles and taking things apart and putting them back together. However, he most enjoyed the time he spent with his children, his grandchild, family and friends. Luciano is preceded in death by his paternal grandfather; Sigfredo Montoya paternal uncle and aunt; Gilbert Montoya and Mercie Montoya, Gilbert and Rita Montoya, aunt; Lucy Montoya and paternal cousin; Veronica Montoya, maternal grandfather; Frank Higgins, grandmother; Helen Gallegos, uncles; Mike Garner, Frankie Gallegos, Johnny Moñtano, Mike Hernandez, Ernie Garcia and Jeremiah and Sarah Stineberg, brother-in-law; Andres Pacheco and several cousins. Luciano is survived by his parents, grandmother; Clorinda Baca, brother; Alan Padilla, sister; Bettyann Pacheco, his children; Silverina Rodarte, Crucita Rodarte, Estrella Montoya (Zedric Henderson), Luciano M. Montoya and one grandchild; Zai’Sean Henderson—all of Santa Rosa, Antonio Montoya, Honesty Montoya, Feliciano Montoya, Esperanza Montoya, Valerie Montoya, Joshua Montoya and Isabella Montoya —all of Albuquerque. He is also survived by his nephews and nieces; Andres Pacheco, Adrian Pacheco, Alan Padilla, Jr. and Alexis Padilla, as well as numerous family, relatives and friends. Family viewing and visitation hours were held 10am-4pm on Tuesday, November 24, 2020 at the qChavez Funeral Home. A Graveside service was held at 11:00 am, Wednesday, November 25, 2020 at St. Joseph Cemetery in Santa Rosa, NM. Serving as Pallbearers are; Adrian Pacheco, Luciano Montoya, Antonio Montoya, Kevin Garner, Daniel Gallegos, Zedric Henderson, Tyson Green and Thomas Mirabal. Due to COVID-19 Pandemic Social Distancing guidelines, services will be private and limited to the immediate family. We ask that you keep Luciano and his family in your prayers.
