Maria Lucinda Lopez

Miss Maria Lucinda Lopez, 97 of Santa Rosa, NM passed away Saturday, March 23, 2019 at Rio Rancho Care Center in Rio Rancho, NM following an illness. Lucinda was born February 26, 1922 in San Ignacio, NM to the home of Francisco and Miquelita (Segura) Lopez. She grew up on the family ranch in San Ignacio. Lucinda was a homemaker and a life-long resident of Santa Rosa and parishioner of St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church and member of Las Hijas de Maria. Lucinda is preceded in death by her parents, two brothers; Gregorio Lopez, Sr. and wife Celina and Jose Hipolito Lopez, three sisters; Rita Abeyta and husband Abelino, Chon Garcia and husband Delfido and Andrea Chavez and husband Demesio and (Manuel Ulibarri).  She is also preceded in death by her sister-in-law; Lucille Lopez. Lucinda is survived by her brothers; Ramon Lopez and Ventura Lopez, as well as numerous nephews, nieces, family and friends. Recitation of the Most Holy Rosary followed by the Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 am Tuesday, March 26, 2019 at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Santa Rosa. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery with Father Christopher Bernabe officiating. Serving as Pallbearers will be; Robert Martinez, Manuel Lopez, Gabriel Lopez, Greg Lopez, IV, Greg Lopez, Lupe Lopez, Joe Abeyta, Randy Lopez and Ryan Martinez.
