Lucinda Salazar

Lucinda Salazar, 77 of Santa Rosa, NM passed away Sunday, July 27, 2025.

Lucinda was born February 10, 1948 in Santa Rosa to Presiliano Salazar and Julia Almendarez Salazar.  She was raised in Santa Rosa, where she also attended school.

Lucinda worked in the hospitality industry in Santa Rosa.  In her spare time she enjoyed relaxing at the lake, dancing, spending time with family, and maintaining her loved one's graves.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her daughter: Rose Ann Salazar, grandson: Paul J. Jaramillo, III, siblings: Connie Lucero, Josie Salazar, Linda Garcia and Joe Salazar.

Lucinda is survived by he children: Gilbert "Gib" Romero, Consuelo Salazar and Jenny Bustos--all of Santa Rosa, grandchildren: Shanarika Chavez, James Chavez, Phillip Salazar and Jeremy Jaramillo, great-grandchildren: Illaria Chavez, Nathalia Campos, Noah Chavez, Paul Jaramillo, IV and Christopher Jaramillo.  She is also survived by her siblings: Lucille (Fritz) Lucero, Frances (Roger) Trockwell, Benny Salazar, Lorenzo Salazar, Billy Salazar and Joe Nick Salazar, as well as numerous nephews, nieces, family and friends.

Funeral services for Lucinda will be Saturday, August 30, 2025 at 11AM at Church of Christ in Santa Rosa, with Fritz Lucero officiating.  Interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery in Santa Rosa, NM.
